Fun day with faire-mily! The music is always fantastic for Celtic Fest. Love seeing the sheep running around and being herded. But it’s always my friends that make it amazing!

Since 2016, Celtic Fest Ohio has brought together Irish, Scottish, and Welsh culture in both a traditional and modern sense. With live musicians from all over the world, delicious cross-cultural foods, and plenty of fun for people of all ages, it’s no wonder this festival only continues to grow in popularity.

Jameson’s Folly rocks the Aleing Knight Pub

Every season CFO brings together talented musicians and singers to perform live on stage. Along with returning favorites like Father, Son, & Friends and Albannach, new performers have been lighting up the crowd. This year brought us SCYTHIAN, a unique and inspiring blend of Celtic, Ukrainian, and Appalachian folk rock along with Sina Theil, a blossoming and eclectic singer and songwriter.

Fun and Furry Friends

Along with a massive lineup of talented musicians, the more domestic side of Celtic culture continued to grow! We continue to be blessed by the involvement of the Cu & Craic Irish Wolfhounds and the Miller Border Collie demos. This year we saw the return of the Irish Setters along with the petting zoo full of goats, donkeys, and even a cow eager for attention. Seeing these beautiful animals up close is a great chance to appreciate how much work goes into their breeding and care.

This was my first year attending and I had a great time! Something about being at this venue whether it’s for the regular festival or a one day event is just a much needed break from the every day normalcy, complaints, arguments, work, stress, et cetera of the world. It’s a breath of fresh air, a “mental health day” needed every once in a while to keep your sanity. A day to be free to be what or who you want judgement free with the people you love without the judgement gavel that everyone in the outside world seems to hold.

Shopping Far and Wide

Hand-forged chainmail, Celtic jewelry, original artwork, and beautiful kilts. No matter your heritage, there are plenty of ways to celebrate our ties to history. For many folks, this comes in the form of decorating our homes and ourselves with objects that remind us of where we come from. Whether it’s a Celtic knot strung on a simple chain or the kilt of your ancestral clan, Celtic Fest Ohio offers abundant opportunities to bring home a piece of the old world.
